چکیده
In this paper, a CMOS low-noise amplifier (LNA) with a new input matching topology has been proposed, analyzed and measured. The input matching network is designed through the technique of capacitive feedback matching network. The proposed LNA which is implemented in a 0:18-mm1P6M CMOS technology is operated at the frequency of 12.8GHz. It has a gain S21 of 13.2 dB, a noise figure (NF) of 4.57 dB and an NFmin of 4.46 dB. The reverse isolation S12 of the LNA can achieve 40dB and the input and output return losses are better than 11dB. The input 1-dB compression point is 11dBm and IIP3 is 0:5dBm. This LNA drains 10mA from the supply voltage of 1V. & 2008 Published by Elsevier B.V.

This paper presents a new variable gain low noise amplifier (VG-LNA) for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications. The proposed VG-LNA uses a common-source (CS) with a shunt-shunt active feedback as an input stage to realize input matching and partial noise cancelling. An output stage consists of a gain-boosted CS cascode and a gain control circuit that moves the high resonant frequency to higher freq...

This paper proposes a wideband common-gate LNA using capacitive feedback. The transconductance of the proposed LNA can be enlarged and noise figure can be improved while the conventional common-gate LNA has to use a smaller transconductance for the input impedance matching. In the experimental results using a 0.18-μm CMOS technology, the gain is 13.4 dB, NF is 2.7 dB, IIP3 is −7 dBm at 0.8GHz, ...
